Surfing Sandilands

In May 2015 I was back where it all started for me at my old Lincolnshire surfing stomping grounds.

This little windswell got pushed up by some brisk SE/E winds during my stay and  when the wind eventually did a 180 degrees turn and went offshore I managed to snag a couple of fun ones. To be honest I should have hung around for another hour before jumping in as once the tide pushed up it seemed to be getting better. Although as any yellow belly surfer knows swells from this direction don’t really have any grunt to them and disappear in the blink of an eye. You got to catch it while you can.
