Due to the risk of flooding the Lincolnshire coast

Due to the risk of flooding the Lincolnshire coast is pretty much sealed up along its length by concrete sea walls. This shot was taken the day after a huge ‘storm surge’ swell had managed to spill over the top of those sea defences in numerous places at high tide. Luckily it didn’t do any major damage and eventually the local beach dwellers panic turned to relief. At that point the local surf community emerged from their hidey holes to ride some of the most powerful surf I experienced whilst living back there. Blue moon day.
